Jade McDonald's Mission

 Jade had her p day on wed this week because they got to go to the temple.  She had a busy week with splits and going out visiting lots of non members. Which is good to do as well. Jackie and Brian came to lots of lessons with them this week.  She hit her 1 year mark on Tuesday,  They went and had sushi and got smile cookies. So crazy she has been gone a year already. She has grown so much and is so happy and is just loving her mission so much she does not want to come home. She is also doing so well with the language it is fun to listen to her speak with the others and she often says words to us in spanish.  Which her sisters are both taking so they like being able to learn as well.  She did not have a lot of time to talk because they were mostly in the temple and did a bit of shopping.  It was good to talk to her and see all of her pic and videos. It has been raining a lot and is cold for her. Glad she got a coat.  

 Today we talked with Jade and she was pretty emotional telling us about a sister who is always saying how she hates the mission and does not like it and it bringing others down with her. It made Jade feel so sad because she loves her mission so much and she does not want others to feel like this other sister. I told her to tell the others to make the most of it, choose happy and they will enjoy their missions like her. She said she has not had much sleep because her comp is snoring and she is very tired and has not got much sleep.  So I think she was over tired and emotional about everything.  They have been teaching lessons but  not as many as they would like.  She said that brian comes with them still and once they went into a home and he started to sniff. He said that smells so good, they walked through the kitchen to go to the family room and they found brian sniffing the soup on the stove.  Sadly he did not get any.  She sent a video of her and h...

 Jade told us they had 2 wonderful baptism's this saturday. They were so happy for them. It was a good day. Oh Brian did not leave he stayed so he has been doing lessons with them still. Jade asked that we pray for them to find more friends who will be interested in the gospel.  They have been freezing in their apartment because they have had not heat. They went to the mission office to get a heater and when they got there the people had already left.  They also wanted to look for some clothes for a coat.  But jade went and bought 2 sweaters today which is good because she is so cold she said. Who knew it would get that cold but it is their winter. Hermana Myens is wearing her sweater as pants in one pic she is so cold.  Jade also cut her hair very short today so we will get pic next week for that.  They did lots of traveling on the bus to get to the mission office today but no success, too bad.  She is always positive and happy.  They are so exci...
