Week 19 Christmas fun

 Jade has had a fun week with her new companion Hernmana Varnon. She is from South Carolina and they look like they are having lots of fun together.  They had a lesson this week that was a experience she won't forget.  She said the lady was asking so many questions that she was trying to remember the words in Spanish to teach her, and when they came out of the lesson she could not even remember the words in English.  I told her that was a good lesson then.  Their one friend was supposed to be baptized but decided to wait until she gets back from her vacation in feb.  So we will see. She said they were walking across the street and jade was waving at the car to say thank you for stopping and when she looked back her comp was face down on the pavement.  She had tripped and fell.  Poor kid.  They had a fun weekend of a ward and stake Christmas party.  She said during the ward party they were acting out the nativity and all of a sudden she looked up and mary was breast feeding baby jesus.  She was the mother of baby jesus but really.  She said the funniest part was the elder was the star behind them and he did not know where to look. He was staring up at the celing while holding the star.  They also sang angles we have heard on high. Just her and her comp and the two elders that are in their ward.  The one elder was like i thought I was going to get out of it my whole mission.  She also said that they stayed out until 10 on sunday night and ran home in the dark to their house.  But she had her keys in her hand so she was good. Crazy girls.  They are going to a family's house for christmas eve and get to stay until 11 and she said they are so fun.  So happy they get to do that.  She was really happy and was speaking spanish with her comp so that is good to help her learn since she is new in the mission.  They went and got a churro frosty today and she bought one for the other elder because it was his month day.  The day he came out in the mission.  I guess they celebrate that every month.  Any excuse for ice cream.  She said the pic of the colo colo is the soccer team there. The fires are there but not to bad and not effecting them so much but it looks pretty smoky in the pic. She also sent a video saying it was so hot and their faces were so red that they got a free icecream from a lady. So glad she is so happy and doing so well

Week 57 Sep 18 New experience.

 Jade has moved to a new area again with her traveling comp calling.  When she got there the sisters were not doing a lot of work.  They were having lessons with members but did not have very many friends to teach.  Jade was feeling very down and actually did not feel the spirit for a few days.  This is the first time this has happened on her mission and she did not like the feeling at all.  On sunday they had gone to a park to see if they could find some people after church.  They were sitting on a bench and the one sister asked her what was wrong. She had told her how she had not felt the spirit since she had got there on Thursday and it was really bothering her.  They talked it out and now Jade has helped the sisters to make a daily schedule and to go out and find those to teach.  She said she was feeling much better today but still is hard.  I knew this would be a hard assignment for Jade to do.  But I also know that she can do ...

Week 32 Birthday Week

 We were spoiled and got to talk to Jade 2x this week. Once on Friday and then again on Monday. It was her b day on Friday.  She had lots of fun. She got ice cream and her favorite drink 2x that day.  She had a good weekend with a baptism of a little 9 year old.  She is teaching lots still and is loving being busy. She said her comp had a bird poop on her while they were out. She sent a video. It went on her glasses luckily.  They are having a lot of fun while working hard.  She said one guy asked for her instagram and she told him I can't do that but I do have a book of mormon for you.  He was not too impressed. She is loving going to the members homes for lunch time and said they get feed every day or at least money given to them to go buy lunch.  She took some pics of some cool buildings.

Week 70 Dec 18 At the beach

 Jade had a good week. She was able to go back to her first area and go see Daniel.  She had fun showing her comps the beach and had a good time. She forgot how much she loved it there.  She is having fun in her new area and loves the comps she is with.  She will be transfered just before christmas so hoping she knows the area and has good last comps. She is contining to work hard and have fun.
