Week 1 At Mexico MTC

 July 20th 2022 

We heard from Jade for the first time today.  We were able to FT her!! She told us she had a good flight and when she got to Texas, she ran into other Elders.  She told them she was from Canada and Elder Fergeson said to her, "Do you know of this little town called Magrath?" She just laughed.  He is a good friend of Chayse Harris our cousin.  Such a small world.  Then she looked at her ticket and it said 1A.  She was like I think they got this wrong.  She then asked and she got to fly from Texas to Mexico first class.  She was the only Hermana on the flight and all the Elders were so jelous.  She said she is loving the MTC. That they are district leaders her and her comp and have lots of meetings to go to and they are very very busy but its good.  She loves her comp and she reminds her of so many good people in her life.  She said she gets fresh papya every day and she loves it.  Her comp not so much and she had a elder try it and he spit it right back out and said it made him sick. She said she only felt sick from the food one time when she bit into chicken and saw feathers.  Yuck I would too.  She also said a Elder dropped all of his food all over the floor and another Elder was so fast to come help clean it up it was funny.  She went to the temple today and said it was so beautiful there.  The weather has been hot but she is good no rash.  She was also telling us about her sports and that her and her comp are the only girls in their district and that some of the elders always just want to work out in the gym and they can only do gym time with their district so they can't play basketball with the elders so she was sad about that.  Some of the elders are good and went and played volleyball and spike ball with them but she wishes she could play basketball.  She was very happy and sounded like she was having a wonderful time.  It was so good to see her so happy!

Sep 11th Knows why she is there

 We had a good chat with jade she told us that she knows why she was sent to that area. She had a good chat with one of her comps and stayed up late at night. She had told her how her last comp was so mean to her. Only speaking english with others when she only knew spanish and not doing work with her. Jade was crying when she told me. She is so passionate about her mission. She has changed so much. She has so much love for the Savior and for this gospel.  She works hard and gives it all for Him.  I am sure this assignment of traveling missionary will not be easy but she knows she can bless others lives in a different way.  She is such a example to all of us and what we need to be doing in our lives to share the gospel and to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Week 67 Nov 27th Last transfer

 Jade had a good week.  She is still going to be a traveling missionary, she is with Hermana Brazil, they were so excited when they found out.  She said it is hard work but she is happy to do it. She is hoping to be able to go and visit most of her areas before she leaves so that she can see everyone.  So crazy this is last transfer.  The little girl has all of their name tags on. The white building is a govenrnment building.  They had lunch on a roof top. They had yummy ice cream and got samples of all the rest.  A member owns the shop so they get lots of ice cream from him.  The pic of the lady who just got baptized and a random guy who was holding the book of Mormon just wanted a pic with them.  They had district council all together and yummy doughnuts. She is in a suburb area again and is excited to be there and to find more to teach. She is doing awesome and we are so proud of her. She already has a amazing tan line on her feet!

Week 57 Sep 18 New experience.

 Jade has moved to a new area again with her traveling comp calling.  When she got there the sisters were not doing a lot of work.  They were having lessons with members but did not have very many friends to teach.  Jade was feeling very down and actually did not feel the spirit for a few days.  This is the first time this has happened on her mission and she did not like the feeling at all.  On sunday they had gone to a park to see if they could find some people after church.  They were sitting on a bench and the one sister asked her what was wrong. She had told her how she had not felt the spirit since she had got there on Thursday and it was really bothering her.  They talked it out and now Jade has helped the sisters to make a daily schedule and to go out and find those to teach.  She said she was feeling much better today but still is hard.  I knew this would be a hard assignment for Jade to do.  But I also know that she can do ...
