Jade McDonald's Mission

 Jade has been working so hard with these sisters to get them motivated to go out and find new friends and to share the gospel more with others.  They have been doing a lot of less active member lessons which is good but they need to  go out and find more people.  She said it is hard that they don't exercise, or when they walk they don't walk together.  She is trying to help them help themselves to become better missionaries.  She does not love being the babysitter and telling them what to do, but she is happy to help and to better the mission. I know this is a struggle for her and I told her that we grow from our trails.  I know that she will look back on this and it will be a growing part of her mission, just hard when you are in it. I am so proud of her attitude while she is doing it. She still remains happy and positive and has that beautiful smile on her face.  What an example she is to all of us.  Jade has moved to a new area again with her traveling comp calling.  When she got there the sisters were not doing a lot of work.  They were having lessons with members but did not have very many friends to teach.  Jade was feeling very down and actually did not feel the spirit for a few days.  This is the first time this has happened on her mission and she did not like the feeling at all.  On sunday they had gone to a park to see if they could find some people after church.  They were sitting on a bench and the one sister asked her what was wrong. She had told her how she had not felt the spirit since she had got there on Thursday and it was really bothering her.  They talked it out and now Jade has helped the sisters to make a daily schedule and to go out and find those to teach.  She said she was feeling much better today but still is hard.  I knew this would be a hard assignment for Jade to do.  But I also know that she can do ...

 We had a good chat with jade she told us that she knows why she was sent to that area. She had a good chat with one of her comps and stayed up late at night. She had told her how her last comp was so mean to her. Only speaking english with others when she only knew spanish and not doing work with her. Jade was crying when she told me. She is so passionate about her mission. She has changed so much. She has so much love for the Savior and for this gospel.  She works hard and gives it all for Him.  I am sure this assignment of traveling missionary will not be easy but she knows she can bless others lives in a different way.  She is such a example to all of us and what we need to be doing in our lives to share the gospel and to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
