Jade McDonald's Mission

 We were spoiled and got to talk to Jade 2x this week. Once on Friday and then again on Monday. It was her b day on Friday.  She had lots of fun. She got ice cream and her favorite drink 2x that day.  She had a good weekend with a baptism of a little 9 year old.  She is teaching lots still and is loving being busy. She said her comp had a bird poop on her while they were out. She sent a video. It went on her glasses luckily.  They are having a lot of fun while working hard.  She said one guy asked for her instagram and she told him I can't do that but I do have a book of mormon for you.  He was not too impressed. She is loving going to the members homes for lunch time and said they get feed every day or at least money given to them to go buy lunch.  She took some pics of some cool buildings.  

 Jade said  from her pics and video's they were in the subway and there was a group of people that started to sing and play instruments it was very cool. They were really good. They also saw a statue of a guy walking on a log in the metro and they thought that was pretty cool.  They had put into their GPS where to go and it took them on this narrow little path on the highway it was so small. The one pic where they are way up high in their friends apartment and the view was so beautiful. She took a pic of the tree because she thought Dave would have thought it was sick.  The pic with all the Hermana's was their first video chat call since they are STL's.  Then the other pic is when they had their district meeting.  She was so happy they have been so busy.  They are teaching 6 lessons a day which is so amazing.  She said they already have someone on date and are putting another friend on date soon,  she said they have been so busy she was reall...

 Jade got transferd into the inner city.  She also got made STL.  Two things she did not want but will be good for her.  She went and said goodbye to many of the sisters in her ward. She loved all of them so much and will miss this area and her old comp.  Someone gave her a hello kitty stuffy and she gave it to another little girl in the ward.  She was super happy but knew it would be hard to carry around.  Looks like they found PJ and jam pretty happy girls. She got to her new area and they have a nice apartment on the top floor and can see the city and the mountians.  She was excited about that. Elder Smith is in her district that she knew from the MTC.  So she was excited about that.  She is always so positive even with changes she really does not want.  She is such a good example to all of us in this, always a smile on her face.  She told me her fav scripture was 2 nephi 4:20.  My God hath been my support he hath led m...

 I was only able to talk to jade for a short while this week.  I was on my cruise so I did not have a lot of time.  They were painting pics when I called and they seemed a little down.  They were not teaching many people and seemed discouraged.  I hope that they have a better week this week. She did send a few pics so that was good. Looks like they still had some yummy food and had a fun time and she saw her old comp.
